Wholey's is a solid spot if you're craving seafood (or Bloody Mary's, for that matter -my mom and I love their spicy bloody's!) Dishes I've had before include some of their sushi (they have a great Philly roll), shrimp cocktail (flavorful), and oysters (solid). It's nothing mind blowing but it's definitely a reliable spot if you're in the area and craving a good seafood lunch or dinner.

I always have a great experience here! Whether I come for brunch, lunch or dinner, every thing has always been up to par. I love the bloody Mary's at brunch. I think the lobster roll is great. I've been eating a ton of them in Boston and this one in Pittsburgh is pretty close to those in my opinion. I've had a little bit of everything and would recommend if you want a relaxed vibe for seafood. Service was attentive but not rushed. Overall another great meal.

Food came out really quick! Had some fun decorations and nice atmosphere. The sushi was good but did take the longest out of all the food order at the table.

This is a nice fresh fish spot. There are two different areas to sit...... closer to the bar with high tops and a dining area with tables. Soon as I saw the sushi bar with fresh fish, I knew I had to try some. I got the spicy tuna and it was super fresh. We also had the cheese wedges and catfish bites. Each of them was great. They had a special with a pesto Alfredo with spinach and halibut. I ended up eating the halibut first lol. I took my pasta home later. Warmed up beautifully. Our waitress was amazing. She gave great recommendations. I would come back here when I visit my family in Pittsburgh.

The calamari was nice, I should have been warned it was an overpriced kids meal; 4 mashed potato's, 4 shrimp, and 4 asparagus in gravy --I believe that was the shrimp volcano? And grilled salmon. It could be better, the ambiance is a bit stale but convinced myself it was convenient.

We had a great experience and dinner with our friends over the weekend! We sat at a high top table in the bar section and our waitress was very attentive and fun. She was super helpful when our friends had questions about menu items. I ordered the captain crunch sushi roll and this was hands down my favorite roll I've ever ordered! My entree was the Baja shrimp Volcano, also very delicious and filling. I highly recommended both!

A friend and I stopped by for a late lunch/early dinner on a December warm and sunny Saturday, a very busy day in the Strip District. We stopped in about 2:40pm with about a 35 minute wait to be seated. We gave our phone number for them to text us when ready. giving us time to continue shopping. The menu held many options we both were interested in. In the end, we both opted for the Grinchmas cocktail of pear vodka, schnapps, and pineapple with the coloring true to that of the Grinch. Nice and refreshing. Next we both opted for the same street taco combo of a mahi mahi taco and a Baja shrimp taco, both in a flour shell. They were huge and filling. Lastly, dessert. Of the choices of a chocolate mousse, creme Brule, and key lime pie, I took the mousse and my friend the key lime. The presentations were so eye appealing and no complaints on the taste. Our server was attentive and helpful.

Craving a lobster roll in Pittsburgh? Look no further than Luke Wholey's! They have a "regular" hot lobster roll with butter and garlic, but my go to is the Steel City Lobster Roll. They take their lobster roll and smother it in house made lobster bisque and crème fraiche. I will often reserve a table on via Open Table and it works like a charm. The wait staff is always so kind, and the atmosphere fun, with larger TVs at the bar perfect for watching sports. Looking forward to returning soon!
